What would you do for free?

FREE because there is a valid and revealing reasons. We may feel and think of the following if we do the task:

1. I am very good at it.
2. I enjoy doing it – look at the time!
3. I feel fulfillment accomplishing it even if I don’t get paid.
4. It is not surprising that people around me contact me for it.
5. I feel like I matter to the world and I contribute.
6. No second thoughts, let me do it.
7. I got it, no worries.

Excitement about goals is often diminished by our fear of failure or the drudgery of work.

If you’re short on passion, it might be because your goals are too small or the fear is too big.

Do a job for a long time and achieve what you set out to achieve, and suddenly, the dream job becomes a trudge instead. The job hasn’t changed–your dreams have.

Mostly, though, it’s about our fear. Fear is the dream killer, the silent voice that pushes us to lose our passion in a vain attempt to seek safety.

While you can work hard to dream smaller dreams, I think it’s better to embrace the fear and find bigger goals instead.

Inspired by the movie Monte Carlo, try traveling!

Going out of the country will give you a perspective you may have missed or you never knew it was there. Go out and explore the other part of the world that you’ve never known. When you do start the experience you make sure that you’re open and let things sink.

In the movie, Selena Gomez played the character of Grace Bennett who is a young lady. She is clueless and desperate to feel different and find what she’s sets to do in life. She thought saving and finally going to Paris would help. Even with doubt she is the kind of person who could conquer Paris, she went for it. The ending of the movie showed she is doing what would give meaning to her life, give her reasons to smile, and feel that she matters in the world.

Marc Jacobs has his own fashion label and he is also Louis Vuitton’s Art Director since 1997.

In the creative hierarchy, the art world is like up here and fashion is down there.

I see the life of these artists sometimes and the way they live and how they travel and I think it is such a beautiful creative existence that seems sort of so pure in some way.

Do you want to become a fashion designer?

Project Runway (2004) created by Heidi Klum, Desiree Gruber, Jane Cha Cutler, and Harvey Weinstein is a perfect show that showcase from fashion design conceptualization, execution, up to the runway including dressing up and even deciding the look of the contestant’s assigned model.

Top 3 Designers at the latter part of the show will come up with a collection in a real Fashion Show set-up. It’s an amazing show for a fashion designer to be to watch the contestants who like themselves want to make it big in the fashion industry with the skills that they have and harnessing that skill on the course of the show from getting odd challenges and meeting top designers.

Do you want to become a chef?

MasterChef Australia (2009) is an amazing show because the contestants are amateurs and it shows the passionate cook who gets better overtime. The show is very generous of advice (from different ingredients, techniques, and chef secrets), having master classes, and the frequent presence of renowned chefs to share their expertise is totally a cherry on top of a delicious dessert.

I know that it is not the same not being the actual contestant and taste those delicious foods being served but the recipe are made available in the show’s official website so we can recreate it ourselves. The show is very inspiring that there is a way to make a dream come true.

Do you want to become a model?

America’s Next Top Model (2003) created by Tyra Banks was a good show that illustrates what a starting model with or without experience at all could possibly expect in the business. They do photo shoot, video shoot, catwalk, and all the tips and crucial makeovers that works.

Tyra is a beautiful person that guides the ladies with her expertise having started in the business at a young age and have grown to more than just a fashion model but also a role model.

The reality television series is another venue for us to learn about we love to do. I hope you find the right show that would be give you more inspiration or if it doesn’t exist yet I hope a creator would think of it or you could start it and help other people of your line of purpose.

A real passionate man who does what he loves recognized his contribution for the bigger picture. Look at a railway, it has rail, bolt, nut, wood, and no matter how small or big a certain part, they work together to keep a train moving and serve the purpose of transporting people or things efficiently.

The beauty of each one’s real gift in real life is not to measure who you are but seeing what you can do when joined with others. Everyone complements so we should find out how we become one with the world.

No looking down upon ourselves. No self pity.

A train can be the real star but it will not run with the absence of the bolt or the nut or the wood or the rail. Same way that a Janitor is important as the company’s Manager.

It reminds me of one old story. A passerby asked a carpenter about what he’s doing, he said, “I’m doing carpentry,” then he asked the mason next who answered the clearest vision that we should aim, he answered, “We’re building a church.”

You are doing what you truly love only to find out that it’s not easy and why is every single thing stumbling and going to different directions that you didn’t hope it would do.

Stop.

Breathe.

Relax.

It’s okay.

Don’t fret that the smooth beginning doesn’t always happen because if it’s that easy everyone in the world is already living their passion.

It takes patience and truly learn your craft. Keep doing it and you’ll get better. Seek help and learn from the best. Keep doing what your gut is telling you. And never doubt that you’re on your way to greatness.

Our dream is a part of our inner self that is waiting to come out, be recognized, and soar high and mighty. It will never be too late to start. It will never be a question of age. It’s just a matter of our selves committing to let it live.

We’ve heard about the old sayings: “Do what you love and it will never feel like work. Do what you love and you’ll feel lasting happiness and fulfillment.” So why do some of us who knew what we wanted to do still stuck somewhere else?

Come on! Don’t be afraid to START NOW! It is worth it.

Do you feel that you also love this path? Read on as she shares what she loves and learn as I did:

• Description. People often comment to me about my passion. I can only describe it as my love of life!  It’s something that fulfills me everyday, and it gives me great joy. It’s the only thing I know one can do that at the end of the day you can stand back and say to yourself, “Look what I did!” I’m amazed every time!
• Discovery. I think it started as a very young child. I shared a room with a sister who was 7 years older. We had to learn how to co-exist in a small space. My side was always neat and tidy, her’s not so much! I remember when she left for college within the first day I was dismantling her bed and rearranging the room.
• Conquered Challenges. I think my biggest challenge was the time I had to spend away from my daughter while I was on Clean House from 2003-2005. I spent long hours away from home during those years. It was hard but we somehow managed.
• Feeling for Living. There is nothing I’d rather do in the world than Organize & Design. I feel like the luckiest lady alive! I know it’s a gift to say my work is FUN! I absolutely LOVE IT! I just wish I could be in 50 places at once so I could help more people.
• Greatest Achievements. I’m still working on more, but to date, I’ve created new organizing products that will be available in the Spring 2012. I have a line of velvet jewelry organizers that are currently being sold at The Container Store. I’ve written a book, and I’ve been fortunate to meet and work for some of the most incredible people.
• Sharing. I share it everyday with my crew, and those around me I am organizing & designing for. I’d like nothing more than to expand that to a greater outreach. Currently I am in discussions to create web segments, so people all over the world can tune into see where I am and what magic I’m making one house/office at a time.

She founded the company The Beverly Hills Organizer in 1989 but at first she made it up! Here’s her true inspiring story that is genius because she gave more than organizing solution to businesses while still considering meeting her personal needs:

I needed to find a way to make more money, and in turn allow me to have more time to spend at home since I was a single, pregnant mom.

The idea to organize as a career came to me from my experience as a commercial real estate agent. For 3 years I leased office space, and noticed time and again that IF people were more organized, they would need less square footage, and ultimately save money. Hence the idea of organizing for others was born.

I shall dedicate a category for “Passion Curriculum” so I may fill-in my ideas and your ideas too to make it perfect.

As first entry, I am pondering about Grades:

• Grades will be collaborative between teacher and student.
• Student shall contribute by assessing how fulfilled he is in a certain project.
• In each class, the students don’t compete with another, they compete with themselves.
• There is no grade as “Failure” but most likely move on to the next, which must be the real passion.
