iMourn For Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

My iPod Nano (my first ever Apple product mourns too for the lost of a great man). He is truly an inspiration and I will never forget his words, which he lived by it, as shared early on in this blog:

You’ve got to find what you love. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.

Here are beautiful words that are testaments of how great he was sharing his talents to the world:

  • It wasn’t for us to fit into a world of computers, it was for the computers to fit into a world of people. And that’s what made Jobs different… special. ~Simon Sinek
  • He reinvented the entire industries. He did it with ones that were new, like PCs, and he did it with ones that were old, such as music. And his pace only accelerated over the years. ~TIME Business
  • Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it. ~USA President Barack Obama
  • Steve was such an ‘original,’ with a thoroughly creative, imaginative mind that defined an era. ~Walt Disney CEO Robert Iger
  • Steve Jobs was an extraordinary visionary. He saw the potential of what Pixar could be before the rest of us, and beyond what anyone ever imagined. Steve took a chance on us and believed in our crazy dream of making computer animated films; the one thing he always said was to simply ‘make it great.’ He will forever be a part of Pixar’s DNA. ~Ed Catmull and John Lasseter of Pixar
  • Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. ~Apple CEO Tim Cook

Find what you love by Steve Jobs

This is an excerpt from the Commencement Address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 2005 at Stanford University.

You’ve got to find what you love. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.

Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.
